2 Churches Pastor Swap To Talk Progress

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two Dallas churches united Sunday through their pastors to talk about the topic of racism.

And they did it with a swap.
The senior pastors of Concord Church in South Oak Cliff and Park Cities Baptist traded pulpits. The two pastors are good friends and say they want to remind the congregations about what united them.

"We can always focus on what separates us, but at the end of the day we're here to celebrate what connects us," says Rev. Bryan Carter of Concord Church to the Park Cities Baptist Church congregation.

"What if Ferguson came to Dallas? and it will. Some other news, the Eric Garner case, when these things happen, we said man we've got to know each other, we've got to bring other pastors and leaders together because when something like that happens we need to be ready to shepherd the city and guide toward racial reconciliation," explains Dr. Jeff Warren , of Park Cities Baptist Church

The pastors say there is more that united them than divides these two congregations and Sunday they are connected by their faith.
