IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - The USGS reports a 2.8 magnitude earthquake 2 miles north northeast of Irving around 3:35 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Some folks in Irving and Dallas say they felt the ground shake.

Betty Barnett commented on the CBSDFW Facebook Page, "Felt a lot bigger than 2.8. Heard the rumble before the big jolt. That one was scary." She said she was near the intersection of MacArthur and Grauwyler in Irving.

No reports of any damage.

Earthquakes of this magnitude are quite common around the former Cowboys Stadium site in Irving.
