FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A $2.2 million mansion burned to the ground overnight in Westover Hills. It was the second fire at the home in just 24 hours.
According to reports, the 6,700 square foot home was fully involved when firefighters first arrived around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Officials say no one was inside and firefighters quickly set up defensive positions - initially reporting some difficulties getting water onto the flames - in part because of the difficult access involved.
A second alarm was called, and then eventually a third for manpower.
On Thursday, fire crews were called to the same location.
Fort Worth Fire Captain Kyle Falkner says the cause of the Thursday fire is unknown but described it as small in nature.
Investigators do not know if today's fire might be a re-kindle from yesterday's.
Everyone was out of the home when firefighters arrived on scene.
