The Dallas County Sheriff's Office says the 18-wheeler hit a concrete barrier and ended up dangling off of I-345 in Downtown Dallas.

DCSO says speed was a factor in the crash.

Traffic is impacted at southbound I-345 and Live Oak Street. Footage from TxDOT cameras show the far right lane closed while officials work to clear the scene.

TxDOT says the right lane will be closed through the area for bridge maintenance until Wednesday morning.

CBS News Texas crews at the scene said the 18-wheeler looked completely mangled.

The cab detached from the trailer, landing on the street below. The trailer was stuck on the edge of the overpass until a tow truck helped lower it from the highway and onto the ground.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
