1 Killed In Rear End Crash On I-820 Express Lanes In Fort Worth

UPDATE: The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim on Thursday as Joe-Aaron Nieto Hernandez, 26, of Fort Worth.
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - One person was killed in a crash involving a Corvette and a box truck in the 3200 block of I-820 near I-35W shortly before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
It happened in the I-820 Express eastbound lanes.
Police said the driver of the red Corvette was killed after being rear-ended by the box truck.
Police said the driver was apparently having mechanical problems and was only going about 20 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
All of the eastbound lanes were shut down as Fort Worth Police traffic detectives investigated.
The lanes were reopened around 4:20 p.m.
