Tornado watch extended for eastern counties
Van Zandt and Henderson counties are under a tornado watch until 1 a.m. Friday.
Severe thunderstorm warning for Henderson County extended
The severe thunderstorm warning in effect for Henderson County has been extended until 9:30 p.m.
The storm is moving southeast at 35 mph.
The National Weather Service expects 65 mph wind gusts and half dollar-size hail.
Impacted locations include Palestine and Lake Palestine.
MedStar response volume during storms
MedStar says between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., crews responded to 13 motor vehicle collisions, including two rollovers.
Five people were taken to area hospitals.
There were no water rescues.

The tornado warning for Henderson County has been extended until 9 p.m. and now includes parts of Van Zandt County.
The storm is expected to affect Brownsboro, Edom, and Chandler.

The severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Ellis and Kaufman counties has been extended until 8:15 p.m.
The storm is expected to bring half dollar-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
Areas affected include Ennis, Grays Prairie, and Cottonwood.
Tornado warning for Henderson County extended
The tornado warning for Henderson County has been extended until 8:30 p.m.
The storm is expected to affect Athens.
Second ground stop at DFW Airport lifted
The second ground stop at DFW International Airport has been lifted.
Tornado warnings for counties east of the Metroplex
Multiple tornado warnings are in effect for counties east of the Metroplex.
One warning is for parts of Van Zandt and Rains Counties and lasts until 8:15 p.m.
It is expected to affect Grand Saline, Oakland, and Jones.
The second warning affects parts of Kaufman, Henderson, and Navarro Counties and lasts until 7:45 p.m.
It is expected to affect Seven Points, Gun Barrel City, and Enchanted Oaks.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Ellis, Kaufman, and Henderson Counties.
The storm is capable of producing ping pong ball-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
The warning lasts until 7:30 p.m.
Locations under this warning include Ennis, Gun Barrel City, and Mabank.

As of 7 p.m., Oncor reports 8,200 power outages across North Texas:
- Collin County: 11
- Dallas County: 5,567
- Denton County: 2
- Tarrant County: 2,557

The storm is capable of producing half dollar-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Locations under this warning include Waxahachie, Cleburne, Hillsboro, and Italy.

A ground stop has resumed at DFW International Airport.
According to FlightAware, there are flight delays at Dallas Love Field Airport.

A TxDOT traffic camera captured footage of severe storms moving over Dallas Thursday evening.
Storm damage in Grand Prairie
Three to four buildings in a warehouse district of North Grand Prairie have been damaged in tonight's storms.
Grand Prairie Fire Chief Robert Fite says parts of the roofs have been blown off.
He says crews cut electricity and gas service to the buildings.
No one was hurt.

Flash flood warning for Tarrant and Dallas Counties
Parts of Tarrant and Dallas Counties are under a flash flood warning until 8:15 p.m.
Several reports of flooding have surfaced on social media as between two and three inches of rain have fallen. Another one to two inches is possible, too.
Avoid flooded roads and low lying areas!

Locations impacted will include Irving, University and Highland Park.

Tornado warning issued for Tarrant County
A tornado warning is in effect for parts of Tarrant County.
A radar indicated a tornado over River Oaks moving east at 30 mph. It is currently over downtown Fort Worth.
The warning includes Fort Worth, Arlington, and North Richland Hills and is in effect until 5 p.m.

The warning now lasts until 4:30 p.m.

The warning lasts until 4 p.m.
The storm is capable of producing quarter-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts. It is moving northeast at 50 mph.
Locations impacted include Nocona, Belcherville, and Ringgold.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Jack, Parker, and Palo Pinto Counties.
The warning lasts until 3:30 p.m.
At 2:40 p.m., a thunderstorm capable of producing golf ball-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts was near Possum Kingdom Lake. It is moving east at 45 mph and is expected to impact Mineral Walls, Graford, Millsap, and other locations.
A tornado watch remains in effect for much of North Texas until this evening.

School districts cancel after-school activities due to weather
North Texas school districts are cancelling after-school programs today due to the threat of severe weather.
The cancellations so far:
- Allen ISD: All after-school activities and events.
- McKinney ISD: All after-school activities and events.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Stephens County until 2:45 p.m.
The warning includes parts of Palo Pinto and Young Counties as well.
Cities in the warning area include Breckenridge, Graford, Caddo, and Eliasville.
The storm could bring winds up to 60 mph and golf ball-sized hail.
