#5 GO BIG OR GO HOME

5. Rogelio Goes Big or He Goes Home (Chapter 38) This sweet moment was almost underrated in the grand scheme of the show but cannot go unmentioned on our list. After breakups and makeups, Jane and Michael finally got engaged and planned to be married in the Villanueva house. As we all know, things never are as smooth sailing as we’d like them to be for Jane and her house flooded. Knowing that it was Jane’s dream to be married in her home, Rogelio took it upon himself to have a model of their house built on the sound stage. What a dad, right?

#4 SUCH A DAD!

4. Rogelio Becomes Such a Dad (Chapter 3) After acquiring his daughter: Jane (Ro’s words, not ours). Rogelio did everything he could to ensure Jane would never know what it was like to lack a father again. With the desire to be a part of her life, Rogelio relocated his show to Miami and encouraged Jane to follow her dreams of being a writer. It was in Season 1 that he offered her the words of advice that we are still repeating today. Inhala. Exhala.

#3 MY BROGELIO

3. #RogeliomyBrogelio (Chapter 16) How could we exclude the bromantic relationship between Rogelio and Michael? This show has introduced us to plenty of love stories between characters but this bromance takes the cake! After embarking on a ride-along together, these two we’re bonded for the rest of the show. Between Rogelio’s theatrics and Michael’s ability to imitate Jim Carrey, they developed a friendship that would stand the test of time, and we just couldn’t get enough.

#2 MAKE IT OFFICIAL

2. Xo and Ro Get Hitched-FINALLY! (Chapter 64) “On the day of Xiomara Gloriana Villanueva’s wedding, the power was out, her dress was ruined, there weren’t even any paper cranes because they were deemed a fire hazard” but as our narrator said, “It was still completely magical.” Despite the millions of obstacles this power couple faced on their wedding day, their ceremony had out hearts bursting. And we can’t help but smile. In between tears, of course.

#1 HIS BEST MOMENT

1. Xo and Ro Make a Choice (Chapter 78) Throughout 5 Seasons we watched Rogelio develop his relationship with Xiomara, but it was in this episode that he manifested his unfaltering love for her. It was this very moment that proved to us: Underneath all the concealer and sarcasm, he really did have a heart of gold and truly is our favorite character. After the news broke about Xiomara being diagnosed with cancer, Rogelio and Xiomara finally had a heart to heart about what it would be like after her mastectomy. Xiomara expressed her fear that Rogelio would no longer find her attractive, and in the most tender of moments, Rogelio assured her that nothing could take away his love for her… Needless to say, we could not keep it together.
