(RADIO.COM) - Neon Trees‘ singer Tyler Glenn has come out as gay, revealing the news in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
"I had my crushes on guys throughout high school, but it was never an overwhelming thing until my twenties," Glenn explained, saying that he’s known he was gay since childhood.
"Then I’d be dating girls and in love with my straight friend and it was the worst feeling in the world."
The singer, who is from Provo, Utah, and was raised Mormon, said that he began coming out to friends and family in October 2013, as the band was working on its upcoming third album, Pop Psychology (set for release on April 22), with many of the songs dealing with his life as a closeted gay man.
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com/AP) — Ellen Page, who won the hearts of moviegoers as the pregnant teenager in the 2007 film “Juno,” has come out as gay.
The 26-year-old was in Las Vegas Friday, February 14th addressing a conference of counselors who work with teenagers who identify as lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual or queer, when she told them, halfway through her 8-minute speech, “I am here today because I am gay.”
Maria Bello
(CBS NEWS) - Maria Bello has come out, revealing in a New York Times piece that she’s been in a long-term relationship with a woman.
In the first-person account, the 46-old-actress details how she told her 12-year-old Jack from a previous relationship about her female partner, Clare.
Bello opens up about her romantic history in "Coming out as a Modern Family," writing, "I was with someone romantically and I hadn't told him [Jack]. I had become involved with a woman who was my best friend, and, as it happens, a person who is like a godmother to my son."
"My feelings for Clare aren't the same as the butterflies-in-the-stomach, angst-ridden love I have felt before; they are much deeper than that," she added.
LONDON (CBS SF/AP) — Olympic diver Tom Daley says he is in a relationship with a man. In a video released for his fans on YouTube, the 19-year-old British Olympian says "come spring this year, my life changed massively when I met someone and it made me feel so happy, so safe ... That someone is a guy."
Daley says in the five-minute video clip, which he published Monday, that he wanted "to put an end to all the rumors and speculation, and just say it, tell you guys," adding "is it a big deal? I don't think so."
Daley won the 10-meter platform gold at the 2009 world championships when he was 15. He took bronze in the same event at last year's London Olympics.
Wentworth Miller
(CBS NEWS) - Former "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller has revealed he's gay. The 41-year-old actor decided to come forth in a letter to Petersburg International Film Festival director Maria Averbakh that was later posted on GLAAD's website on Wednesday.
Averbakh had invited Miller to attend the film festival, but Miller turned it down, citing Russia's anti-LGBT laws. He thanked organizers for the "kind invitation," but noted, "As a gay man, I must decline."
He added, "I am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government. The situation is in no way acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly."
His letter addresses Russia's new laws banning expressions of support for gay rights, such as pro-LGBT rallies. The laws, signed in June, ban the "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations."
Miller concluded his note with: "Perhaps, when and if circumstances improve, I'll be free to make a different choice."

"Kyle XY" star Matt Dallas, 30, officially came out as a gay man, announcing on Twitter his engagement to musician Blue Hamilton late Sunday night.
"Starting off the year with a new fiance, Blue Hamilton. A great way to kick off 2013!" he tweeted, along with a photo of his fiance posing next to an adorable dog.
R&B singer Frank Ocean posted a message on his Tumblr page in which he said the first person he fell in love with was a man. It read: “4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide … It was my first love, it changed my life.”
Anderson Cooper
(CBS News) Anderson Cooper has been subject to much speculation about his sexual orientation.
The journalist put any questions to rest on Monday in an email written to The Daily Beast blogger/reporter Andrew Sullivan.
"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud," Cooper, 45, wrote.
