Woman Found Stabbed To Death Inside San Jose Home

SAN JOSE (KCBS) — A woman was found stabbed to death inside an East San Jose apartment Tuesday afternoon, police said - the city's 13th homicide of the year.

Police were called on reports of an injured person on the 100 block of Jose Figueres Ave. just off Alum Rock  a little before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers responded and found an adult female inside an apartment who had been stabbed. Police described the woman as being between 30 and 35 years old.

SJPD Sgt. Heather Randol said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and that a neighbor had made the initial call to police.

"She was suffering from at least one stab wound. Our homicide unit is responding out to conduct the investigation. We do not have any suspects in custody right now, but they are looking into the circumstances and motive behind the murder," Randol said.

Police did not immediate release any additional information.
