Why You Should Watch The 'Hollywood Film Awards'
You may not know it, but the "Hollywood Film Awards" are a big deal.

The awards ceremony is definitely something to not be missed, and here are a few reasons why:
1. First Time on Television
The "Hollywood Film Awards" have never been broadcast on television before. This is actually the first time that audiences around the country will be able to see what happens at the funny, intimate, and celebrated ceremony. What makes it even better is that it will be broadcast completely live on the east coast, meaning anything could happen. Why would you want to miss out on what could be history?
2. It's Funny and Intimate
Most people appreciate the "Golden Globe Awards" because of the intimate nature of it, with celebrities sitting around dinner and drinks while receiving awards. Well, the same can be said for the "Hollywood Film Awards," if not more (especially with Queen Latifah hosting this year). The awards ceremony guarantees big laughs along with some of your favorite celebrities joking around with each other and enjoying each other's company. Tune in and see that celebrities are just like us.
3. The First Precursor to Other Awards Shows
Awards season begins with the "Hollywood Film Awards;" plain and simple. In fact, many of the entertainers that win big at the "Hollywood Film Awards" usually end up nominated or winning that golden statue at the Oscars as well. For example, just look at Matthew McConaughey, Christopher Plummer, and Christoph Waltz. In fact, over the past few years, 80 percent of the honorees at the HFA have also received an Oscar nomination. So, Just watching puts you ahead of your friends later on in awards season.
4. The Music Is Great
Unlike some other awards shows, the "Hollywood Film Awards" has amazing live music performances. There's nothing boring or sleep-inducing about the ever-energetic Janelle Monae, who is tapped to perform this year. You definitely don't want to miss it.
