108 Degrees: Who Will Get The Worst Of The Coming Bay Area Heat Wave?

KPIX 5 Morning Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales answers the questions you never get to ask on-air.

Q: Roberta, I listen to KCBS Radio. Did I hear you say it will be 108 degrees Wednesday? Where? - Pat Thomas, San Francisco.

A: Hi Pat, yes, you heard correctly! 108 degrees in the hottest locations inland. In particular, I have my eye on Fairfield.

Get ready, the heat is on! As of tomorrow, Tuesday, the Bay Area will be experiencing rising temperatures. High Pressure will heat up the atmosphere and I expect Fairfield will hit 106 Tuesday and 108 Wednesday. That means many East Bay neighborhoods will be in the triple digits for the next couple of days. As temperatures peak on Wednesday, a "Heat Advisory" may be issued.

I will keep us all posted on exactly when and where the Advisory will encompass, as the temperatures soar near and shattered records.

Meanwhile, please be mindful of the elderly, the young and pets. Do not stay outdoors for long periods of time. Avoid exercising in the heat of the day and stay hydrated. Keep an eye on your forecast on the cbsSF Weather Page.

I would love to hear from you! Please send weather questions, observations and photos to me, Gonzales@kpix.cbs.com and I look forward to hearing from you!
