Sneak Preview Video And Photos Of The Tesla Model X Hybrid SUV
Last week in Alameda, a man happened upon Tesla testing the yet-to-be-released Model X hybrid SUV. The man behind the camera was on his way to the nearby skate park when he was able to capture photos and video of Tesla's Model X in action.
In the video, the Model X speeds up, brakes and takes sharp turns appearing to be testing the car's handling. According to Juan del Real, who shot the video, it was pure happenstance and he is neither a Tesla employee or part of any marketing for the vehicle.
"At first I thought it was a security guard making the rounds since it would come-and-go. So I paid little attention. Plus the vinyl graphics threw me off." Commented Juan del Real on his YouTube page. "What finally caught my full attention was when I noticed it kept accelerating and then braking hard. That's when I took a closer look and realized what it was.
Originally, the posters thought that the car was the Prius-like Tesla Model 3 but the internet chimed in and identified the vehicle as the Model X. The Model X is slated to roll out in 2016.
