VIDEO: Armed Suspect Robs Hercules Gas Station

HERCULES (CBS SF) -- A suspect robbed a gas station market in Hercules earlier this week with a semi-automatic handgun, according to police.

The robbery took place at about 10:30 p.m. Monday at the My Goods Market/76 brand gas station in the 800 block of Willow Avenue near Interstate Highway 80 and state Highway 4, police said.

The suspect pointed the gun at a cashier and said, "Get the money out of the register," then took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled onto Willow Avenue toward the unincorporated community of Rodeo, police said.

Officers are describing the suspect as a 150- to 175-pound black man, possibly in his 30s, who is about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, according to police.

The suspect was wearing yellow, black and white athletic shoes, a gray beanie, a tan pullover hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black and yellow gloves, police said.

The suspect had the hood of the sweatshirt over his head during the robbery, according to police.
