Vegas Oddsmakers Say LeBron James Has Retaken MVP Lead From Stephen Curry

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - For much of the last three months, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been the betting favorite to take home the NBA MVP title. But after a 42 point outburst by LeBron James against the Dubs Thursday night, it appears King James may defend his throne.

As of Friday, the gaming site Bovada lists James as the co-favorite for the Most Valuable Player award, but he's not sharing the lead with Curry. Coming off a the All-Star game MVP performance Oklahoma Guard Russell Westbrook and James share 4-1 odds for the award. Curry is currently ranked as the 4th most likely to win the award at 8-1, behind James Harden of Houston at 7-1.

At the same time, fellow Warriors 'splash brother' Klay Thompson has moved into the conversation as well, he's tied with Chris Paul of the Clippers as a 16/1 bet.
