Service Mostly Restored After Outage Cuts Power To Thousands In Sunnyvale
SUNNYVALE (CBS SF) -- All but 58 PG&E customers have had their power restored, after an outage Sunday morning initially left 4,100 customers without power in Sunnyvale.
The outage was caused by equipment failure near Carmelita Drive, but the cause of the failure has not been determined, according to PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi.
Crews remained at the scene and are hoping to have power restored to the remaining customers by about 9 p.m., Guidi said.
The outage was first reported at 7:37 a.m.
