Missing Union City 4-Year-Old Child Found Safe
UNION CITY (CBS SF) -- A missing 4-year-old child who was the subject of an intense search by Union City police Friday has been found safe.
There was no immediate word as to the condition of the child or how he was found.
Authorities said Lykier Acosta was last seen in a car driven by his father Lawrence Pollard.
Pollard was seen pushing the boy's mother from a car at around 8:01 a.m. near Mission Blvd and Tamarack Drive in Union City. The witness called police, who responded to the scene and found the woman suffering from minor injuries.
A search was launched for the car containing both the 4-year-old and Pollard. A short time later, Pollard was detained but there was no sign of the child.
