U.S. Postal Service Sets Up Alternate Mail Service In Napa, Vallejo

NAPA COUNTY (CBS SF)— The U.S. Postal Service has set up alternate locations for mail service in Napa and Vallejo following Sunday's earthquake.

Customers of the Franklin Post Office at 1351 Second St. in Napa will be served by the Wine Valley Post Office at 820 Randolph St. between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Post office box customers must provide a photo identification to pick up mail.

Huge windows on the front of the Franklin Post Office building were smashed in the quake.

The Napa Main Post Office at 1625 Trancas St. will have caller service pick-up for post office box customers in the rear parking lot between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Photo ID is required, postal officials said.

In Vallejo, customers at Station A at 1015 Amador St. and the Main Post Office at 485 Santa Clara St. will instead be served at the Springstown Post Office, 100 Admiral Callaghan Lane. Full retail operations will be available between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and a photo ID is required to pick up mail.

Signs at the post offices will direct customers to alternate locations and customers also can get information at www.usps.com.
