Two Men Critically Injured In Separate Overnight Oakland Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two men were injured in separate shootings in Oakland late Thursday night and early Friday morning, according to police.
At 12:51 a.m. today police responded to a shooting in the 1900 block of Linden Street in West Oakland, Officer J. Moore said.
Officers found a man with at least two gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and as of about 2 a.m. was in surgery, Moore said.
He was seriously injured but is expected to survive.
The other shooting was reported in East Oakland near the intersection of Seminary and Bancroft avenues at about 10 p.m., Moore said.
A man was walking there and heard gunshots and realized he had been hit by gunfire. He suffered a deep graze wound not considered life threatening.
Police made no arrests in either shooting and provided no descriptions of any possible suspects.
