Over 20 Earthquakes Strike San Ramon In 24 Hours
SAN RAMON (CBS SF) -- The United States Geological Survey is reporting twenty minor earthquakes have rattled the San Ramon area since Tuesday morning.
Update 8:20 a.m. -- 3.0 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts San Ramon
The strongest of the earthquakes, which listed as 2.9 and 2.6 magnitude quakes, occurred around 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to the USGS.
The most recent, a 1.6 magnitude, struck at about 5:15 a.m.
The USGS is reporting the earthquakes are most likely a result of seismic activity on the Calaveras fault.
