Video: Caltrans Removes Tree Leaning Over Westbound Lanes of I-580 in Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Caltrans crews worked to remove a tree that was leaning over westbound Interstate 580 in Oakland on Tuesday.

The tree was leaning over a sound wall near Lakeshore Avenue and Park Boulevard, forcing closure of the westbound lanes of the freeway.

Crews used a pole saw to bring down two sections of the tree shortly before noon. They used a wood chipper to break up the branches.
