Thousands Of PG&E Customers Without Power In The East Bay & San Jose
EL CERRITO (CBS SF) -- Thousands of Pacific Gas and Electric customers are without power in the East Bay and San Jose Thursday morning due to fallen power lines.
In San Jose, over 6,000 PG&E customers have lost power Thursday morning after fallen wires knocked out power at about 7:10 a.m., according to a PG&E spokeswoman.
About 6,000 customers are also without power in El Cerrito, Oakland and Richmond after fallen wires also disrupted power service at 4:17 a.m.
PG&E is working on repairs and has reduced the number of affected customers to 2,800 as of about 8 a.m.
PG&E is also working to restore power to 1,100 customers in Vallejo. A total of 3,647 people lost power originally there at about 4:43 a.m.
There is no estimated time for the repairs to be completed.
