Thousands Gather In Dolores Park For Trans March To Kick Off Pride Weekend
SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) -- A big crowd showed up Friday for the Trans March and celebration at Dolores Park in San Francisco's Mission District.
City leaders addressed the crowd from a decorated cable car.
In the city's Tenderloin neighborhood, leaders unveiled a new street sign at Turk and Taylor streets at the location of one of the most important transgender riots in U.S. history.
The sign honors the late San Francisco transgender performer Vicki Marlane.
Trans March is in its 11th year.
