Tesla, Musk May Face Big Challenge From Richard Branson
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Elon Musk and Richard Branson looks to tangle on terra firma as well as space.
Bloomberg reports that Branson is considering building electric vehicles to take on Tesla, and its not a stretch given that Branson's a main supporter of the all-electric Formula E racing circuit with his Virgin Racing cars.
The Virgin Racing team placed eighth and eleventh at the recent Miami ePrix, the first of two Formula E races to be held in North America this year.
Branson and Musk are already the two main rivals in the burgeoning private-commercial space industry, with Branson's Virgin Galactic going up against Musk's Space X.
