Teenager Shot Dead At North Richmond Home

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- A teenager was fatally shot in North Richmond on Friday night, a Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman said.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Market Avenue at Fred Jackson Way around 9:20 p.m., sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Arriving deputies found a 16-year-old boy in front of a home and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lee.

Investigators are looking into the homicide and working with police in Richmond where several shootings took place Friday night, Lee said.
