2 Teen Girls, 2 Women Stabbed In Large Gilroy Fight

GILROY (CBS SF) – A fight left two teenage girls and two women with stab wounds early Sunday morning in Gilroy, police said Monday.

Officers responded to a report of a large fight going on in the 400 block of Leavesley Road near Murray Avenue around 4:50 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Many people in the fight left as officers arrived, according to police.

Three of the victims at the scene suffered multiple stab wounds to their upper bodies, police said.

A fourth victim was found near the area where the fight occurred, according to police.

The victims, two 17-year-old girls, a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman, were transported to a hospital for serious injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

Three of the victims were treated and released, but a fourth victim was checked into the hospital for observation, according to police.

Investigators arrested multiple people soon after the fight but released them after determining they were not suspects in the stabbings, police said.

Victims have provided little information on the stabbings, which are not believed to be gang-related, police said.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Detective Eric Cryar at (408) 846-0350. Tips can be made anonymously.
