Suspect, victim killed in Antioch parking lot shootout
Antioch police said a shootout in a parking lot on Saturday night left two people dead.
Around 10:40 p.m., officers went to the Delta Bowl parking lot for reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found two men who had been shot. One of them died at the scene. The other man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
According to police, the victim was sitting in the driver's seat of his car when he was approached by the suspect.
The two men then fatally shot each other. Neither of the men has been identified, but police said the victim was 34 years old and the suspect was 35 years old.
Police said they do not know the motive for the shooting, and that no other suspects are believed to be involved in the shootout.
