Suspect In Critical Condition Following Officer-Involved Shooting In Richmond
RICHMOND (KCBS) – Richmond police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Thursday afternoon that has left a suspect in critical condition.
Police said it happened at about 1:30 p.m. near the corner of Nevin Avenue and 20th Street. Police said they were tracking an armed suspect when an officer feared for his life and opened fire.
The suspect was struck at least once and has been hospitalized in critical condition.
Police said a gun has been recovered at the scene. It's not clear what led officers to track the suspect in the first place.
