SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- The search for a second suspect in Thursday afternoon's robbery of an east Santa Rosa jewelry store has been suspended, Santa Rosa police said Thursday evening.

An employee of the Bennett Valley Jewelers in Santa Rosa suffered gunshot injuries during an armed robbery, but is expected to survive, police Sgt. Brad Conners said.

A suspect in the robbery also was shot and is being treated at a hospital for life-threatening injuries, Conners said.

The suspect at large is described as a black male adult in his early to mid-20s with a large build. He was last seen wearing a white and blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He also may have been injured during the robbery, Conners said.

Police were searching for the suspect in Annadel State Park and Spring Lake Park area in east Santa Rosa. They previously searched in the Tachevah and Neotomas drives area of Bennett Valley.

Police found an unoccupied red Ford Mustang that is associated with the suspects a quarter-mile away from the robbery at 2700 Yulupa Ave., Conners said. The vehicle was reported stolen in Livermore.

Anyone who sees the suspect is urged not to intervene and to call 911 instead, Conners said.

Three men were arrested after a robbery at the same jewelry store in July 2013.
