Starbucks To Offer Prepaid Visa Debit Cards With Rewards
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/AP) -- Starbucks has come up with a plan to get you to drink more coffee: Prepaid Visa debit cards.
At the end of the year, the Seattle-based company will introduce prepaid debit cards through Chase Bank that can be used wherever Visa cards are accepted.
The card also allows users to earn points or 'stars' on the My Starbucks Rewards loyalty program when they buy coffee, and when they use it elsewhere.
Starbucks says more than 12 million active Starbucks Rewards cards have been activated in the U.S.
