Small Quake Rumbles Though Central Coast

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA (CBS SF) -- A magnitude 3.1 earthquake on the San Andreas Fault rumbled through the Central Coast early Tuesday, rattling homes from Salinas to Hollister, officials said,

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 7:01 a.m. near San Juan Bautista.

Residents in San Juan Bautista, Salinas and Hollister reportedly felt the quake, according to the USGS.

No damage or injuries were reported.
