Small Earthquake Hits Hayward Fault East Of Berkeley

BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- A small earthquake hit along the Hayward Fault in the Berkeley area Sunday afternoon, according to the USGS.

The magnitude 1.9 shaker was reported just before 11 a.m., about two miles east of Berkeley.

The Hayward Fault runs from San Pablo Bay south to Fremont.
