3 Hurt In Oakland Freeway Shooting Friday Night

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating a Friday-night shooting on Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland that injured three people.

Officers responded at 11:18 p.m. to the highway just south of Fifth Avenue on a report of a shooting and located four people in a vehicle that had been shot at.

Two of the occupants were shot and transported to the hospital in stable condition, police said. One of the victims was a male, and one was a female.

A third person was injured by broken glass.

Police said there was no information available on suspects who may have been involved in the shooting.

The incident closed a portion of the highway until about 1:30 a.m.
