UPDATE: Shooting Follows Home Invasion Robbery In San Francisco's Visitacion Valley; 1 Arrested, 2 Others Sought
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- An apparent home invasion robbery resulted in a shooting and a suspect search that led to a shelter-in-place in San Francisco neighborhood, police said.
San Francisco police said officers responded to a call at around 3:05 p.m. about a residential trespassing on the 500 block of Campbell Ave. between Delta and Rutland streets in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood.
Officers who arrived on the scene saw two suspects fleeing from a residence, with at least one shot fired by one of the suspects, police said.
One suspect then got into a vehicle which was being operated by a third suspect, and fled the scene, according to police. The second suspect fled on foot but was located in a nearby yard and arrested.
Police officers did not discharge their firearms during the incident and no injuries were reported, police said.
Police were using a chopper and K9 units from Daly City Police in the search, along with California Highway Patrol units.
The shelter-in-place was lifted at about 5:40 p.m.
