Several Arrested In Early Morning East San Jose Raid

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- At least eight people were detained early Thursday and a SWAT standoff came to a peaceful conclusion during a raid of an East San Jose home, authorities said.

Officers armed with a search warrant entered the home in the area of Capitol and Alum Rock avenues during the morning hours and several people were detained.

A SWAT team was called to the scene when it was believed a possible suspect was holed up on the property.

As of Thursday afternoon, the incident came to a "peaceful resolution" with officers making several arrests and interviewing others, according to police Sgt. Enrique Garcia.

A SWAT vehicle also towed a tan sedan out of the property and about 10 bags of items were seen loaded on the windshield of a police car.

There was no information released as to what brought authorities to the home.
