Sausalito gas leak shuts down several blocks around boardwalk
A gas leak in Sausalito Monday shut down several blocks of Bridgeway around the city's iconic boardwalk for hours authorities said.
The rupture of a two-inch steel gas line was reported at about 10:58 a.m. on the 500 block of Bridgeway, the Southern Marin Fire District said.
Police said PG&E is still working to repair a 2-inch steel gas line that ruptured late morning at 517 Bridgeway, the main road along Sausalito's waterfront. The incident closed the 400, 500 and 600 blocks of Bridgeway.
Those blocks reopened around 3:30 p.m., according to a police alert.
