Santa Rosa Police Arrest Prolific Teen Tagger

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Santa Rosa police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of committing more than 70 acts of graffiti vandalism in Santa Rosa over the past year.

Police identified the tagger "GON" and arrested him at a residence south of Santa Rosa today, Sgt. Phil Brazis said. The teen's name is not being released because he is a juvenile.

Brazis said "GON" was booked in the Sonoma County juvenile hall on three counts of felony vandalism with damage exceeding $400 and for 70 counts of misdemeanor vandalism.

Last Thursday, Santa Rosa police arrested another prolific 17-year-old tagger who goes by the name "DELI."

Police said that suspect was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony vandalism and 284 counts of misdemeanor vandalism. He was booked into the Sonoma County Juvenile Justice Center.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding either case call the property crimes investigation team at 543-3575.
