San Mateo County Sees Drop In Home Inventory, Dramatic Rise In Prices
SAN MATEO (KPIX 5) -- It's a seller's market in the Bay Area right now. Many would like to buy a home, and inventory is very low, particularly in San Mateo County.
It's the perfect storm for people selling their homes in that county, driving prices way up.
The average sales price last month was $1.4 million. That's up a half-million from the same time in 2012.
At last check, the San Mateo County Association of Realtors said there were fewer than 600 homes for sale.
