San Jose Shooting Victim Dies At Hospital

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A victim with a gunshot wound died at a hospital in San Jose Wednesday night, according to police.

Officers responded to Regional Medical Center at 8:42 p.m. on report of a person shot, and the victim died shortly after that.

Investigators are trying to determine where the shooting may have happened.

The motive and circumstances of the crime are also unknown, police said, and no suspects have been identified.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The shooting is under investigation, and anyone with additional information is asked to call homicide detectives at (408) 277-5283.
