Person shot dead outside Powell Street BART station in San Francisco
A person was killed in a shooting Thursday night at San Francisco's Hallidie Plaza outside the Powell Street BART station, according to police.
At approximately 9:29 p.m., officers were alerted to a report of a shooting at Hallidie Plaza. Upon arrival, they found someone suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said the victim was given initial medical treatment, but the victim later died at the scene.
While there has been no arrest yet, San Francisco police are asking anyone with relevant information about the shooting to call them at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with "SFPD".
