San Francisco Police Arrest Accused Serial Panties Thief Near Victoria's Secret
SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – The San Francisco Police Department has arrested a man who repeatedly stole panties from Victoria's Secret in Union Square.
Police arrested Anthony Robinson, 55, last Wednesday after he looted lingerie worth more than $500 from the store, said SFPD Captain Garret Tom.
"He walked into the store on three separate occasions and just started taking panties," Tom said. "He stole 50 pairs of panties on his last visit."
Just after investigators went to the store to view the surveillance video, they immediately spotted Robinson on the sidewalk outside and arrested him.
"He was wearing the same clothes he was wearing in the video," Tom said.
Robinson is in jail charged with burglary and theft.
Tom said the suspect likely has been reselling the items to fences; groups of criminals who sell stolen property.
