San Francisco Murder Suspect Arrested In Bayview Neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A suspect in the killing of a Richmond woman in San Francisco in May was arrested on Wednesday in the city's Bayview District, police said Thursday.

Luis Barrios-Ixolin, 28, is suspected of shooting 27-year-old Tiara Williamson in the 600 block of Alabama Street in the Mission District just before 3 a.m. on May 30, according to police.

Williamson was taken to a hospital, but died there. After the shooting police said they were looking for a suspect who fled the area in a light-colored sedan.

Homicide investigators identified Barrios-Ixolin as a suspect and arrested him in the first block of Reardon Court on Wednesday. He was booked into jail where he remains without bail.

Police have not disclosed what evidence connects Barrios-Ixolin to the homicide or any suspected motive.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to contact San Francisco police at (415) 575-4444.
