San Francisco Mission District Bank Robbed By Man With Note

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police were trying to identify a man who robbed a bank in San Francisco's Mission District on Monday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 3:50 p.m. at 22nd and Mission streets.

Police said a man believed to be in his 50s entered the bank and gave an employee a note demanding money.

The employee, a 27-year-old woman, complied and gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The suspect then fled on foot and has not been caught.

There is a Wells Fargo branch at that location, but a manager at the bank declined to comment Tuesday morning.
