San Bruno Police Seek Suspect For Attempted Armed Robbery Of Liquor Store

SAN BRUNO (CBS SF) -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected of attempting to rob a liquor store in San Bruno Wednesday night.

The robbery was reported to police at 11:16 a.m., around 10 minutes after it occurred at Huntington Liquors in the 700 block of Huntington Avenue, according to San Bruno police.

Responding officers were told that a man entered the store and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk while demanding money from the register.

Another employee advised the robber that they couldn't open the register, causing the suspect to flee, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man around 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 185 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
