Robbery Of Fisherman's Wharf Camera Store Caught On Video
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police in San Francisco are searching for suspects who were caught on surveillance video breaking into a camera store near Fisherman's Wharf after backing their van into the front of the shop early Tuesday morning.
The clip shows a group of four suspects getting out of a white van at the intersection of Levenworth and Jefferson streets. They set up some sort of post or extension from the rear doors of the vehicle and backing into the camera store.
The suspects are then seen taking what appear to be canvas bags or duffel bags out of the van and into the store. A short time later, the suspects emerge carrying the bags.
They quickly return the bags to the vehicle before driving off. The entire operation only takes a bit over three minutes.
At about 1:20 into the clip, a bicyclist can be seen riding by the incident. He stops and briefly circles back to survey the situation before riding away.
Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the crime or has any information to get in touch with them.
