Rider Killed In Hayward Motorcycle Crash

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- A man was killed in Hayward Tuesday evening after crashing his motorcycle into a parked vehicle, according to police.

Officers responded to a crash on Hayman Street near San Antonio Street at 5:10 p.m.

Investigators determined that the victim was headed north on Hayman when he lost control of his bike at a bend in the roadway, crashing into the back end of another vehicle.

The victim, identified only as a young man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told police that just before the crash the motorcyclist was moving at high speeds, but it's not yet known whether drugs or alcohol may have been a factor.
