Rewind: A Look Back At 2013's 'Hollywood Film Awards' Honorees
While ever honor and award is important in an awards show, some just hold a little more heft.
For the first time ever the "Hollywood Film Awards" will be broadcast live on television, and the only way to see them is on CBS, Nov. 14 at 8:00PM ET/delayed PT.
This year "Hollywood Film Awards" plan to have quite a few entertainers and celebrities in attendance, including: Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pratt, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Shailene Woodley among others.
With so many in attendance it may be impossible to predict who will win at this year's ceremony, but taking a look at last year's winners gives a better idea at who might have a chance.
Hollywood Actor Award 2013
Matthew McConaughey, "Dallas Buyers Club"
One of Hollywood's hottest leading men won the prestigious award last year before going on to win an Oscar for his part in "Dallas Buyers Club" starring alongside fellow winner Jared Leto. McConaughey was known more for his body and good looks in romantic comedies before showing audiences everywhere his take on dramatic roles.
On taking the role that eventually led to his win, McConaughey said, "I started choosing experiences on the roles I was taking, and it's been wonderful adventures I've had the last two years. I feel my career and my life resonating and becoming one."
Hollywood Actress Award 2013
Sandra Bullock, "Gravity"
Many have grown up with Sandra Bullock and her enormous body of dramatic and comedic work, so winning an award for her role in the sci-fi drama "Gravity" was almost a no-brainer. Bullock went on to be nominated for an Oscar before ultimately losing to Cate Blanchett, but just being nominated was a big enough deal.
On Hollywood and her journey to that night's win, Bullock said "I think Hollywood has gotten a bad rap. The Hollywood I know is thousands on top of thousands of people who work tireless hours to achieve one goal, and that's storytelling. I see so many people in this room that I've worked with and who have put me in this place today."
