Report Of Suspicious Person At Pleasanton Park Leads To Arrest Of Man For Identity Theft
PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- Pleasanton police on Wednesday arrested a Manteca resident after officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at a community park.
Andrew Jonathan Hardy, 35, was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false information to a police officer and possession of stolen property.
Officers responded to the Aquatic Park on Black Avenue after receiving a report of a suspicious person and vehicle parked in the playground/picnic area, police said.
Police said Hardy initially gave officers false identifying information.
Hardy was found in possession of a stolen laptop, drug paraphernalia, various forms of identification from more than a dozen people and credit cards and financial documents that were not in his name, police said.
