Rainy Weather Knocks Out Power Across Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Wet weather caused several power outages Monday morning throughout the Bay Area, according to PG&E.

As of 5:30 a.m., about 2,700 customers all over the region were without power, PG&E spokeswoman Jacqueline Ratto said.

In the North Bay, 1,255 customers were affected by the outages. Outages also affected 744 customers in the Peninsula, 316 customers in the South Bay, 283 customers in the East Bay and 104 customers in San Francisco, Ratto said.

"PG&E is working to restore power safely and as quickly as possible," Ratto said.
