Police Chase Through San Francisco's Potrero Hill Ends In Arrest, 1 Suspect At Large

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- One person is in custody and another remains at large Wednesday night following a car chase in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood, a police spokesman said.

At about 7:30 p.m. in the area of 25th and Connecticut streets, officers attempted to stop a car that matched the description of a vehicle involved in an armed robbery, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Shyy said the car failed to stop and a chase ensued, lasting several minutes until the car crashed into a pole in the area of 22nd and Connecticut streets.

During the pursuit, a firearm was thrown from the car. Police later discovered it, Shyy said.

One suspect was taken into custody. Another fled on foot and remained at large as of about 8:30 p.m., according to Shyy.

The suspect in custody was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call San Francisco police.
