Getting Around For Super Bowl 50 Events

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Whether you are a Bay Area native or a visitor from out of town coming to attend Super Bowl 50 or associated events, the big game is sure to present some challenges when it comes to getting around in San Francisco and the South Bay.

Below are some links to helpful pages set up on the Super Bowl 50 host committee website that includes directions and transit information.

Getting Around the Region

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Association has set up a special web page outlining what changes to Muni service will take place on Market Street and how to stay up-to-date with some transportation details that have yet to be finalized.

The SFMTA has also provided a map of bicycle and pedestrian detours around the Super Bowl City area and downtown.

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) has also set up a web page providing information on taking public transportation to Levi's Stadium during Super Bowl 50 festivities.

The California Highway Patrol also worked with the California Department of Transportation to develop a Super Bowl 50 traffic information website.

Bay Area Rapid Transit will close some entrances into Embarcadero Station during Super Bowl City festivities in downtown San Francisco. BART riders are also encouraged to be aware of days/times where the system will be especially impacted. More information here.
